Kurzbeschreibung
The general aim of this conference is to present several contemporary perspectives on Geometry including, among others, talks on visualization, applications and surveys, both at elementary and more advanced levels. The goal is to contribute to the current international reflection on the ICMI/IMU Klein Project concerning central topics on Geometry, its contents, interdisciplinary connections and approaches for the teaching of this mathematics discipline at senior secondary school and first years at University level.
This conference includes the Workshop “EnsGeo I” to be held on 3th September (last day of the conference), focused on dissertation works in Geometry carried out on Graduate courses in Mathematics for Teaching.
The official language in the first two days of the conference is English. In the third day (workshop "EnsGeo I") the official languages are Portuguese and Spanish.

Conference Program (1-2 September)
The conference program includes:
- Plenary Talks;
- and Contributes Talks (20 minutes).
Participants are invited to contribute by giving a presentation (in English) at the conference on topics related to the scope of the conference. An extended abstract, 2 pages maximum, should be sent to contact email, until June 15, 2011.
Workshop Program (3 September)
The workshop includes:
- Plenary Talks;
- and Contributes Talks (30 minutes).
Those interested in participating in the workhop “EnsGeom I” are invited to contribute by giving a presentation (in Portuguese, Spanish or English). An extended abstract, 2 pages maximum, should be sent to contact email, until June 15, 2011 (please mention the Workshop in the e-mail).
